NMS Suspending In-Person Learning

NEW MARTINSVILLE SCHOOLS IS SUSPENDING IN-PERSON SCHOOLING AND GOING TO REMOTE LEARNING.

 

Beginning tomorrow, Friday, October 9th, New Martinsville School will be closed to students.

 

In collaboration with the Wetzel Tyler Health Department, and due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, New Martinsville School is suspending in-person schooling and all students will learn from home beginning Friday, October 9, 2020 through Friday, October 23, 2020.

 

Teachers at New Martinsville School will report to conduct remote learning. Students should have their devices with them and be ready to login at home.  Students that do not have internet service at their home will be contacted by their teacher to make arrangements to complete their schoolwork.

 

We are making this move to provide for the safety of our students, our teachers, and the broader community.

 

Meals will be delivered on Wednesday’s as usual. Teachers will contact parents and students regarding remote learning details.

 

Pursuant to guidance from the Department of Education all extra-curricular activities, including sporting events, for New Martinsville School will be cancelled until students return.
