Mr. Kelch started the meeting explaining the training and purpose of LSIC.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Mr. Kelch gave an overview of upcoming events and school happenings

·       Playground:  Pre K is almost complete and hopefully students will get to enjoy it soon

·       Flow of building:  Going well

·       Project Lead the Way

·       Maker space

·       Mrs. Kelch has received a grant to have trout in the classroom.  In the spring, grades 6-8 will take a trip to Seneca and release them.

·       We have a volleyball team and will have a girls and boys basketball team

·       HHS football players are really enjoying playing at SLS

·       Book Fair:  We will be having a grandparent/special person luncheon on the Monday of the bookfair.  After lunch they will go with their special person to the book fair.  We had volunteers state that they would come in for those without and eat and take them to the fair.

·       Title 1:  Movie nights

·       Community Service:  All grades will be working with Mayor Goff

·       TSA will be joining with SLS.  Shortline does not have a program and was welcomed to join HHS

·       Leader in Me

·       We will have an archery team this year!

OTHER

·       Sue Fluharty mentioned that the church would give funds/donate supplies as needed

o   The church is working with Nurse Carrie for hygiene items

·       We will be having Little Hornets again this year

·       Offering Tutoring
