On Monday, November 17th, the 7th & 8th grade students participated in the Get A Life financial education program sponsored by the Office of State Treasurer, Larry Pack and facilitated by Mrs. Beth Roberts. Get a Life is a hands-on budget simulation. Students are challenged to manage a monthly budget based on a randomly assigned careers and family scenarios.
Mrs. Croasmun extends much appreciation to the following volunteers who madd the program a success: Megan Kinsey, Emily White, Mollie Toppe, Samantha Cochran, Cynthia Howell, Jenna Dawson, Cpl. Daniel Jackson, David Palmer, Pam Christy and the SLS Middle School Staff. A special thank you to Mrs. Yost, Mr. Edgell, and Mrs. Neff for their assistance is setting up the gym and refreshments and to the eighth-grade students who helped carry tables and supplies.

Wetzel County Technical Education Center hosted an exciting robotics competition with all four of our elementary schools today. Our students’ creativity, teamwork, and passion for robotics were truly unmatched. Each school demonstrated incredible sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the event.
Congratulations to Hundred Heritage and New Martinsville School for earning the highest point totals! We are so proud of all our students who participated. 🤖✨

Wetzel County Schools would like to congratulate our attendance winners for the third month of school. Congratulations to Hundred Heritage School who led the grade schools with a 96% rate, and to Magnolia High School who led the high schools with a 93% rate. Also, congratulations to all of our county schools as each one had an attendance rate higher than 90%! Great job!

Magnolia students proudly participated in Red Ribbon Week with a variety of fun and meaningful activities! Throughout the week, students joined in themed spirit days, created posters promoting healthy choices, and took part in classroom lessons and discussions about living drug-free. Their enthusiasm and leadership made this week a success!
