Students in Miss Landis's Project Lead the Way - Automation and Robotics class are learning to build and program systems to help people. Their project today was to create a cart that could be pulled on the back of a rescue bot to deliver supplies autonomous. Their prototypes had to be able to carry at least two blocks and had to contain a wheel. Students worked in teams to design their carts.

All Is Calm… Just Kidding! It Was 6–7 ALL Day! 🎄✨ Mrs. Barcus and Mrs. Wilkinson surprised their third grade class today. It was a fun filled day with everything 6-7! We made 6-7 hats, answered math story problems and equations using the numbers 6-7, and so much more. The class especially enjoyed shopping on Amazon for things they could purchase with $67.00 and then wrote about it using 6 or 7 sentences. Their classroom door and tree were made complete with 6-7 decorations! Best of all . . . They met their goal and made 67 Christmas cards for our local nursing home. They said it was the best day of school EVER!

NMS had mini Rudolphs, stylish Rudolphs, book-loving Rudolphs, and a few who looked ready to negotiate their sleigh-driving contracts.
Mrs. Walton even went on a full Rudolph hunt, tracking down every red-nosed reindeer in the building like the official North Pole Inspector. (Spoiler: she found plenty! 😂)
One thing is for sure: with noses this bright, there’s no chance we’ll lose anyone in a snowstorm. ❄️🤣
Thanks for the giggles, the cuteness, and the festive chaos today, NMS reindeer! ❤️

Our students spent the day diving into the world of modern manufacturing at the Explore Academy! They heard from: 🔹 MPLX 🔹 tecnocap 🔹 Consol Innovations Students also toured the WVNCC campus and wrapped up with a fun engineering challenge — building a tower strong enough to hold a cup of Skittles! Huge thank you to Explore the New Manufacturing, Consol Innovations, MPLX, tecnocap, and WVNCC for an awesome, hands-on learning experience!

Today, some of middle schoolers took an extra step to brighten our hallways—and our hearts! Cubbies had positive-affirmation Post-its, each one carrying a message of encouragement, gratitude, or kindness.
Mrs. Smith's Pre-School students were so excited for teachers to read their notes.
Moments like these remind us that kindness grows when we plant it. Today, our middle schoolers planted a whole garden. 🌟
