Short Line School will hold its Spelling Bee on Friday, March 6 at 1:00 pm.
LSIC will meet at 3:15 on Tuesday, March 10.

It is time for our first-ever softball season. We are having our first middle school softball practice of the season tomorrow from 5-6:30 at the SLS gym. Afterwards there will be a short parents meeting. Anyone interested in playing will need to turn in a WVSSAC physical to either Coach Brown or Mr. Freed to play.
It is about time for track season. Our first middle school track practice will be Monday March 2nd from 3:30-5:00 at the school. After practice will be a short parents meeting to go over schedules and information for the season. Any student interested in running must have a physical form turned in to either Coach Edgell or Mr. Freed before they are able to practice.

Gameday!! Come out and support the Engineer's as both the boy's and girl's varsity teams welcome Mannington to town for Mason-Dixon League basketball starting at 5:30pm.
Students enrolled in Ms. Lopez's Spanish class put their Spanish and culinary skills to the test when they prepared a traditional Spanish breakfast.
Gameday!! Come out and support the Engineers as the girl's varsity team takes on New Martinsville at 6:00 with the boy's varsity team taking on River after. Tonight is also 8th grade night for both teams with the girl's 8th grade ceremony being at 5:45 and the boy's and cheerleaders 8th grade night ceremony being after the girl's game.
Good evening Short Line Families. Tomorrow Wednesday February 4th is the first meeting and in-person sign up for Short Line Sports t-ball, baseball and softball. The meeting will be held in the Short Line School Cafeteria at 5:30 PM! If you have any questions please reach out to a Short Line Sports officer.

Due to the temperature being lower then the amount of snow on the ground, tonight’s home boy’s games versus Cameron have been canceled.
Due to road conditions, tomorrow nights varsity doubleheader versus River has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Due to current conditions, tonight's middle school basketball games have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date. Additionally, due to the impending winter storm, Saturday's girls' middle school game at Trinity has also been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
On January 21, 2026, all after school rehearsals, practices, and games are canceled. Please stay safe and warm. Thank you.
