The next few days are bringing extreme heat to our area. Please take precautions to stay safe:
✅ Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water
✅ Avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day
✅ Check on neighbors, especially the elderly and those without A/C
✅ Never leave kids or pets in vehicles
✅ Keep animals cool and hydrated – Provide shade and fresh water

Wetzel County Schools will be collecting donations to support the families and communities of Ohio County impacted by the devastating floods over the weekend.

Ohio County is in urgent need of:
• Cleaning supplies
• Bottled water
• Mops and buckets
• Non-perishable food

We’re incredibly grateful to the New Martinsville Police Department, Wetzel County Hospital, and Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union for stepping behind the counter and scooping with a smile.
Thanks to the amazing turnout and generous support from our community, we raised nearly $2,000 in tips for the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley!
It was a night full of laughter, smiles, and community spirit — all for a great cause. We’re already looking forward to next year!
