Mrs. Tallman’s Kindergarten class lit up the day with their annual Glow in the Dark Day! Students had a blast reviewing skills they’ve learned throughout the year—like subtraction, CVC words, and sight words—all through glow-in-the-dark games and activities. The room was buzzing with excitement (and glowing with learning)! They even took a few dance party breaks to keep the energy high. What a fun and glowing way to celebrate all the hard work they've done this year!

We are proud to announce that New Martinsville School has officially been recognized as a Heart Safe School! This designation reflects our commitment to student and staff safety through preparedness, training, and access to life-saving equipment. As a Heart Safe School, NMS has met critical requirements including: • CPR/AED training for staff • Emergency response planning • Accessible and functional AEDs on campus • Ongoing education about heart health and emergency readiness This recognition highlights the steps we’ve taken to ensure a swift and effective response in the event of a cardiac emergency. We are grateful to our school nurse, staff, and local partners who have helped make this possible. Keeping our school community safe is always a priority—and being Heart Safe is just one more way we’re making that happen! #HeartSafeSchool #NMSEaglementality #SafetyFirst

Dear Families, Tomorrow is NMS Relay for Life! All students will be walking the track for the first 15 minutes before participating in various activities. There will be free stations for students to enjoy, as well as activities raising funds for Relay for Life. If you are sending money with your student for tickets, please label their envelope with their name. If you'd like to provide money for an additional student, kindly indicate that on the envelope. There will be inflatables available for students to jump on with a wristband costing $2, games will be $1 each, the dunk tank will be $1 for three throws to dunk a staff member, and face painting will cost $1. Sno Biz will also be available for $4. In case of rain, activities will be moved indoors. If that happens, we will only have one inflatable and no dunk tank. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a fun event!
