ROAR-ing Success at PCES! PCE’s PBIS ROAR Session was a blast as we celebrated our students’ positive behavior during the first 9 weeks! From bouncy houses to a dance party and playground fun, our Wildcats had an afternoon full of joy, laughter, and well-deserved recognition. We even had a special guest! 🐾It was truly a great day at PCES! 💚🤍
WVU Extension agent Mollie Toppe and Lisa Sidenstricker brought hands‑on gardening fun to our PLTW Gateway and Launch classes. Students dug into soil, explored seeds like beet, sunflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, radish, collard, and turnip, and even tasted fresh microgreens. Thank you, Ms. Toppe and Mrs. Sidenstricker, for enriching our students’ learning and sparking curiosity.
April is National Financial Literacy Month! Mrs. Debbie Durig, representing Paden City WesBanco, facilitated a hands‑on financial literacy math lesson. Ms. Strickland's students learned about spending and the importance of saving money through this engaging and real world financial literacy lesson. Thank you, Mrs. Durig and Wesbanco!
WCS Spelling Bee part 2
Such a smart, focused group of students who showed incredible sportsmanship and respect throughout the competition. Paden City Elementary extends a huge thank‑you to WCS, our parents, students, and dedicated volunteers for making this event truly wonderful.
WCS held its Spelling Bee at PCES tonight, and what a competition it was! After an intense spell‑off, Kyle Mason took 1st place. Aitana Lopez earned 2nd, Dillon Utt placed 3rd, and Isla Sigley placed 4th. Fantastic sportsmanship all around! Congratulations to all students who participated!

Our Pre‑K students combined fine‑motor practice, nature exploration, and cooking skills all in one project. They collected dandelions, practiced safe cutting, an made a batch of dandelion jelly from start to finish. The next day, they proudly sampled their homemade jelly!
