Jump Rope Ninja Challenge! Students in Mrs. Slider’s physical education classes are enjoying her Jump Rope Ninja program! Every student begins by working toward their White Belt, and as they master the required number of consecutive jumps for their grade level, they sign the matching poster on the wall. At the end of class, anyone who earns a new belt color gets to add that color bead to their bracelet—a fun and motivating way to track their progress. This week brought an exciting milestone: Jackson Croft, a fourth grader, became the very first student at PCE to earn a Black Belt! He completed an incredible 200 consecutive jumps without a single mistake. What an achievement! It has been amazing to watch students push themselves, cheer each other on, and celebrate every success—big and small! Way to go, Jump Rope Ninjas!

Huge congratulations to Onna‑Lee Shreves! Our amazing 2nd grader has been crowned the 2026 Novice State Champion! What an incredible way to wrap up her final year at the novice level! Her first stop after earning the title was Camden Clark Hospital, where she proudly showed her trophy to one of her biggest supporters, her pappy, Mike! We are so proud of everything Onna‑Lee has accomplished this season, and we can’t wait to see what she achieves next. Her hard work, heart, and determination continue to inspire everyone around her.

Our kindergarten scientists are on a roll in PLTW Launch! They explored the structure and function of the human body and had an absolute blast solving bone puzzles made from X‑rays of their very own hands. They carefully arranged the phalanges (finger bones), metacarpals (hand bones), and carpals (wrist bones) to build their very own skeleton hands.Talk about true hands‑on learning!

Learning Through Light & Shadows! Our Pre‑K students had a fantastic time with Danielle-Ice Davis, Paden City Librarian. She stopped by to teach them about light and shadows. Through hands‑on activities, our little learners explored how shadows are made, how they change, and why they’re such a fun part of the world around us. We’re so grateful for community partners like Mrs. Davis, who help spark imagination and make learning come alive for our students.
