Kindergarten and first-grade education students at SLS have been producing a range of original items for their store, Creative Chaos. This hands-on project allows them to tap into their creativity while honing important skills such as teamwork and responsibility. All proceeds from the store directly support class field trips, providing students with valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Carla Wade provides critical support to students at New Martinsville School and Paden City Elementary School. A seasoned Social Worker with 25 years of experience, Mrs. Wade has also spent 10 years as a teacher and 5 years as an LPN. Her expertise includes therapy services and Social Services direction for a long-term care home. Mrs. Wade's greatest joy comes from working with her students. When not working, she can be found spending time with her five grandchildren or reading a book.


Terri Beaty serves students attending Short Line, Valley, and Paden City High School. She has worked with Wetzel County Schools for 9 years. Prior to that, Mrs. Beaty has served our community in various social worker positions for 25+ years. The thing she loves most about her job is being a positive support to our students and families throughout their school years. Thank you!

The 2025 theme, "Moving Forward Together," celebrates women who have committed themselves to education, mentorship, and leadership, shaping the minds and futures of generations to come. Lisa Gagen currently serves the role as Social Worker at Magnolia and Paden City High Schools. She began working with Wetzel County Schools this school year. Previously, Ms. Gagen worked with patients in Albany, New York and at Philadelphia Children’s Hospital. Ms. Gagen is delighted to be back in Wetzel County as she graduated from Hundred High School. Ms. Gagen likes to spend her time outside of school with family, doing crafts, and listening to music.Thank you. 💙💛💚🤍


Kristi Conaway is an important member of the HHS team. She serves in the Mental Health Team, Safety Team, and Attendance Team at HHS. She works closely with Communities in Schools to serve the needs of our students. Mrs. Conaway takes students to appointments and provides other services for the students of HHS. She is willing to do whatever is needed to ensure our students get what they need at Hundred High School.Thank you! 💙❤️
