ArtsLink’s 24-25 Concert Series Season continues with a performance by the Andrew Collins Trio on Thursday, February 27, at 7:00 pm at The Parlor Theater at Doolin Center, 253 Main Street, in downtown New Martinsville. Tickets for ArtsLink members are $10 for an individual and $20 for a family (2 adults and kids under 18), for non-members $15 for individuals and $25 for a family, student tickets are $5, and will be available at the door. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. For your convenience, please park in the free parking lot at the corner of Martin Avenue and Jefferson Street and use the rear entrance to the Doolin Center. As Collins gathers up innumerable JUNO nominations (5) and Canadian Folk Music Awards (7) won by his various ensembles, he’s zeroing in on the work he does with Trio-mates: fellow string guru Adam Shier whose versatility shines through on vocals, guitar, mandolin and in-the-pocket James McEleney holding it down on the bass, mandocello and vocals. Showcasing a dizzying number of styles and instruments on stage, Collins and Co. appear to live by the old adage, “idle hands are the devil’s workshop”, likely keeping them just ahead of his grasp. Funding for this program made possible with assistance from West Virginia Northern Community College, the Antero Foundation, EQT Foundation, and WETZ/WYMJ Radio. This program is presented with financial assistance from the WV Department of Arts, Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts. Additional support provided by the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, Harry E. And Olive T. Barth Charitable Trust- 2024. ArtsLink is committed to providing universal accessibility wherever possible. Persons with special needs may contact us at 304-455-2278 to request assistance.
