We wrapped up our Read Across America week in the coziest way possible—Pajama Day! Students embraced the theme with excitement and spent the day learning, laughing, and celebrating the joy of reading.
It was the perfect ending to a wonderful week of stories and school spirit!
We had a fantastic visit from author Brian Croasmun today! He brought Yertle the Turtle to life with his signature storytelling style—sprinkling in historical facts, lessons on perseverance, and so much more. Our students were captivated from start to finish, and we’re always grateful for the inspiration he brings to our school community. We love having you here, Brian Croasmun—come back soon!
Police Chief Kolbee Cecil and Patrolman Skyler Gibson- Morgan visited students in Project Lead the Way. They helped second grade with measurement and listened to 3rd graders explain their Vex simple machine builds. We appreciate them taking time out of their day to visit.

Author Jan Jones brought the fun to our school today as our special guest reader on the Wackiest of Wednesdays! Students loved hearing her bring stories to life, and her energy made this already‑silly day even more memorable. Thank you, Jan, for inspiring our readers and adding extra joy to our Wacky Wednesday celebration!

Our PLTW Launch kindergarteners wrapped up their study of body systems by adding outside features to their life‑size body models. The best part came next—students tried to guess who was who and explained the clues that helped them figure it out. Such a fun way to connect learning with science and creativity!

Fifth graders in PLTW Launch are becoming real data detectives as they search for patterns in symptoms and information to figure out which bacteria or virus might be causing illnesses. They’re learning how scientists use evidence, observation, and critical thinking to solve real‑world health mysteries.
In Automation & Robotics, our sixth graders are discovering how mechanical systems work—starting with simple gear trains. In Project Lead the Way, students problem‑solve, collaborate, and think like engineers.
In our PLTW Launch Diversity of Life unit, second graders are investigating how living things survive in different ecosystems. Hands‑on science is helping them think like young biologists!
Mrs. Slider’s PE classes closed out their 2026 Winter Olympics Unit with a full lineup of hands‑on events. Students participated in curling, bobsledding, and a biathlon relay,. They used the final medal count table to explore differences in medal totals. Classes also rotated through stations that included both repeat activities and new experiences such as speed skating, table hockey, and the chair lift. A great blend of movement, learning, and teamwork!
