Thanksgiving breakout fun!

Our students brought creativity to life with colorful balloon characters inspired by Balloons Over Broadway: The story of the true Puppeteer of the Macy's Day Parade. What an amazing way to kick off the holiday season!

Our 4th graders didn’t just meet their November AR goal…
They blew it out of the water! 🚀
Goal: 135 quizzes
Actual: 164 quizzes + 868,620 words read!! 📚🐾💚

Today we proudly recognized our November Leaders! These outstanding students have shown exemplary leadership by living out Leader in Me Habit 1: Be Proactive. They’ve demonstrated responsibility, made positive choices, and inspired their peers with their actions.
We are so proud of their growth and the example they set for our school community!

Mrs. Jan Jones, author, shared her newest book with our Prek-3 students. Super Helper is a rhyming book about being a helper.
Students learned about illustrating, line drawing, and being a helper!
Thank you, Mrs. Jones, for taking time out of your day to visit PCES!

Our Pre-K chefs were busy today! Little hands worked hard to churn their own butter, pop fresh popcorn, and even bake a delicious pie. The joy on their faces as they tasted their creations was priceless. Learning through play (and food!) never looked so sweet.

Wildcats Show Up! Congratulations to Mrs. Jackson's class!

Our team had an incredible time at the WCS VEX Robotics Competition!
We’re proud of how far they've come and excited for what’s next!

A Visit from Not-So-Little Kevin!
Part 1
Today, our students had a shell-tastic surprise — author Brian Croasmun stopped by with a very special guest: Not-So-Little Kevin, the tortoise star of his children’s book!
As Mr. Croasmun read aloud, students were captivated by Kevin’s story and learned some fascinating tortoise facts along the way:
•Kevin’s favorite snack is cucumbers.
• His favorite color is green.
• He has no teeth.
• At 5 years old, Kevin is still growing and won’t stop until he’s about 10!
Our curious learners were full of questions and wonder, making this visit both educational and unforgettable. Thank you, Mr. Croasmun and Kevin, for bringing science and storytelling to life!

Who says writing has to involve pencils and paper? Our students dove into storytelling with a twist — Mr. Potato Head style! Guided by author Mr. Brian Croasmun, they explored how characters can reveal clues about a story just through their personality!

4th grade students are utilizing the 4 "Cs" of the technology integration SAMR framework to complete a programming project in Mrs. Musgrave's Launch class.
Communicating, collaborating, critical thinking and creativity.
