Important dates to remember
Ms. Stephen introduced our exciting new PLTW Launch program! Teachers dove into standards, curriculum, and hands-on lessons—exploring the scientific method by investigating bird beak adaptations. Using spoons, tweezers, and clothespins to pick up marbles, straws, and toothpicks, they made predictions, gathered data, and thought like scientists.
They also had a blast with Rosie’s Runtime, a playful yet powerful introduction to computer science that blends learning with fun!
Launch will be taught by certified instructors, Mrs. Musgrave and Ms. Stephen.
Meet Mrs. Carly Rothlisberger, our National Board Certified Preschool Educator at Paden City Elementary! Carly recently shared her thoughtful visual schedules and calming strategies designed to help young learners develop self-regulation skills. Her work reflects the care and professionalism that defines our highly qualified team of educators.
Wildcats Show Up—Always! 💚🤍🐾 At PCES, our teachers and staff are true leaders! Today, we took a powerful step forward by deepening our knowledge of the Covey Leader in Me framework. Last year, we implemented a Wildly Important Goal that drove our high attendance rate! This year, we’re taking it to the next level by discovering and celebrating everyone’s genius. Our incredible team is focused on synergy, being proactive, and the win-win spirit that fuels our philosophy: “We are better than Me.” There’s no “I" in TEAM—and no limit to what this one can achieve. Some of our Energy Express students explored the freshly painted walls and played a fun game of tag!
A few of our Paden City Firefighters visited Energy Express today and later toured our gymnasium. They expressed their appreciation of the stunning display created by The Barn Artist. We are very grateful for their visit and time spent with our children.
Jenny Emch, a local bird enthusiast, shared her incredible knowledge and passion of birds with our students. They learned how to spot common species.
Huge thanks to Jenny for bringing nature into our Summer Boost classroom and reminding us that learning happens everywhere!

S'more fun with step by step functional and real world learning! Following a visual picture recipe, our PreK chefs made tasty treats. They shared their treats with big smiles and even bigger hearts. Through this hands-on activity, they explored sequencing, sharing, and a whole lot of sweetness! Cuteness overload!
Our little learners are enjoying patterns, coding, and and navigating a robot—and it’s amazing to watch their creativity and critical thinking bloom!

Today’s storytime ended with a sweet surprise! After reading Don’t Laugh, Joe!—a tale full of giggles and life lessons—we celebrated with none other than… mud pie snacks! Just like Joe learned the importance of patience and perseverance, our little readers were rewarded for their focus and engagement with a delicious (and chocolatey!) treat. Learning never tasted so good! #EarlyLiteracyLove
💚🤍Big shoutout to our amazing educators who are wrapping up their professional development training for the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch program! These dedicated educators are now fully equipped to bring hands-on, minds-on STEM learning to our PreK-5th grade students. From designing simple machines to exploring computer science basics, PLTW Launch empowers curious minds to dream big and think like innovators. PLTW will continue for our 6th grade students. They will learn Automation and Robotics and Design and Modeling. We’re beyond proud of Mrs. Musgrave and Miss Stephen for committing to growth and bringing transformative learning experiences to their classrooms.
