Katie Shreves visited our first grade class to educate our students about her career as a Technician at New Martinsville Pharmacy.



Our fabulous cooks make every day special for our kids. They make every effort to build relationships and add a touch of kindness to each meal.
This week, each student earned a ticket for eating hot lunch. Tickets were randomly selected and those students won prizes. Pictured below are students who won prizes.

Their future is so bright they have to wear shades! 3rd through 6th graders celebrated their learning and upcoming WVGSA testing with the PCHS Wildcats Band! What a wonderful way to end our week!

Sherry Hill, activity director at New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation Center, was excited to receive Easter cards made by our students. Mrs. Kim Underwood, our librarian, facilitated this act of love and community kindness. The cards were delivered by Miss Kandy Stephen. We hope these beautiful cards bring smiles and happiness to many.



It was a beautiful day for our first grade students to visit Stalder Family Creamery! The students explored farming stations and enjoyed a sweet treat!







What an egg-citing scavenger hunt! Second grade students searched for eggs and solved math equations. It was an egg-cellent way to review math skills while having fun on this beautiful day!

PCE school received two prestigious grants from Project Lead the Way to enhance our STEM education programs!
PLTW Launch STEM Grant for grades PreK-5 curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning in our youngest students. PreK-5 will explore the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, setting a strong foundation for their future academic and career pursuits.
The PLTW Gateway Expansion Grant which will allow us to broaden our STEM program while continuing the Design and Modeling module.
These grants represent a significant investment in our students' futures, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will have on our school community.
We would like to thank Project Lead the Way, EQT, and our dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to make these grant awards possible.
We are excited to offer Project Lead the Way to grades PreK-6 beginning the 2025-2026 school year!

The PCE Book Club’s final meeting was April 1st. After a review of the book, I Survived the Great Alaskan Earthquake of 1964, the students enjoyed refreshments and made a spring craft!
