Our third grade
engineers in Project Lead The Way: Launch completed the Forces & Interactions unit. They took on a major challenge this week: rescue the tiger from the ravine! One student designed an impressive device using a pulley and an inclined plane—and it could save the tiger three different ways. • Pulley system to pull the tiger to safety • Inclined plane lift to raise it up • Inclined plane ramp to roll it out of the ravine.

Happy Speech Pathologists Day to our very own Mrs. Matheny!
Every day, she helps students find their voice, build confidence, and discover the power of communication. Her patience, creativity, and compassion make a difference that reaches far beyond the classroom.
Thank you, Mrs. Matheny, for the countless moments of progress, joy, and connection you create. We appreciate you more than words can say.💚🤍

Dr. Tomaszewski (Doc T), retired guidance counselor and substitute teacher, shared a truly inspiring message with our students today.
He told the story of a young boy who struggled to read—only to reveal that the boy was him. Through it all, he never gave up and always believed in himself. His journey is a powerful example of grit and determination.
Dr. Tomaszewski reminded our students, “If you limit your expectations of yourself, you will limit your accomplishments.”

Our Wildcats assembled flower pens for the residents of New Martinsville Rehabilitation Center in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Supporting the community through meaningful, hands-on action builds compassion, empathy, and leadership skills. We are so proud of our students for sharing their hearts and making a difference!
