Project Lead the Way Design and Modeling 6th grade students were challenged to create a prototype of an ankle/foot orthosis by instructor Kandy Stephen. They studied and created a prototype over time. Mrs. Young gave them an emergency scenario with limited time to build. She wore the prototype during the school day, testing the durability and fit. Students later critiqued the prototype and discussed how they would improve the fit and durability.
