Stay safe and warm.

Stay warm! ❄️☃️❄️

Christmas at WC Animal Shelter will be a bit brighter this year thanks to PCE PreK. We enjoyed "The Christmas Pups" at library time snd decided all pups should have a treat at Christmas. Dog bones were donated!

Enjoy your well deserved break!

Brian Croasmun taught an engaging writing lesson to our students just a few days before Christmas break! He's an amazing author and teacher!

Christmas Carols with Mr. Croasmun!

Our annual PCE Kindergarten Gingerbread Day. We read different versions of the story, created a retell picture to share with friends and made Gingerbread Babies with some special playdough.

Santa!

The students of Paden City Elementary School demonstrated that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others. The PCES Student Council successfully organized a supply and donation drive to support the New Martinsville nursing home residents. This initiative encouraged students and their families to contribute essential items for the residents. Throughout the drive, PCES students generously donated nearly 250 items, showcasing their commitment to community service and compassion. Each donation was thoughtfully organized into bags and included a variety of supplies, ranging from personal care products to fun activities that could bring joy to the residents during the winter months.

Immersed in astronomy, PCE students ventured into the universe. This experience brought the joy of stargazing alive! Thank you, WVU Planetarium Cosmic Adventures for this exploration opportunity!

Students at Paden City Elementary were invited to make decorations for the City of Paden City's Christmas Festival's outdoor Christmas tree. They created bird-friendly ornaments using dried orange slices and fruit-flavored loop cereal. Old fashioned garland was made by stringing popcorn and dried cranberries as well as fruit-flavored loop cereal. Stop by the Paden City's Christmas Festival on Saturday, December 14th from 2 to 4:30 p.m. to see their creations.

Our beautiful tree is decorated with student crafted ornaments. Mrs. Underwood chose an ornament design for each grade and facilitated the activity with help from some PCHS student volunteers.

Santa came to PCE today! Each child shared a Christmas wish. Compliments to Santa’s helpers, our students enjoyed popcorn and a movie. We would like to thank the Movie House for their popcorn donation, and Santa’s helpers for making this a special week for our students!
