American Education Week!
Our Student Council members encouraged kids to celebrate their teachers and support staff!

Perfect Attendance!

Readers are Leaders!
Author Jan Jones read "Autumn is Falling" to our PreK-3 students.
Mr. Musgrave read to our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.
Thank you both for taking time out of your day to read to our students!

Coastal Wilds will visit our school on Wednesday, November 20th. Please return this permission slip if you haven't done so.

The PCES Student Council held their first official meeting this week. They have many exciting ideas planned to involve all students throughout the rest of the school year. The council will focus on the development of the CATS character traits: Cooperate, Always Do Your Best, Take Responsibility, and Show Respect.
Pictured are council member Braelynn Carroll, President Truleigh Gallagher, Vice President Anthony Veyon, and council member Leah Minger.

American Education Week serves as a reminder that education is a shared responsibility involving all stakeholders working together to provide the best education experiences for our students. Thank you, PCE community, for supporting our school!

Please plan to attend.

Sixth grade students in PLTW Design& Modeling used their measuring skills to create a skimmer. The project required reading dimensions accurately and measuring precisely. The more accurate the measurements the farther the skimmer will glide. Also, they are recording their race distances in their notebooks to complete a statistical analysis for the next assignment. They will compete next week for a PLTW lunchbox, so stay tuned.

Kindergarten readers are our future leaders!

PCE Veteran appreciation program part 2. Thank you for your service!

Thank you, Veterans, today and everyday! Paden City Elementary students and staff were honored to show appreciation to some of our favorite Veterans. Our cooks prepared a welcoming environment and delicious meal for our special guests.
.Following the luncheon, PCE students and staff celebrated our Veterans with a special performance that included music, poetry, and a special handwritten sentiment for each Veteran. Thank you, Veterans, for your service! We appreciate you! More pictures to follow.

David Anthony, award winning magician, entertained a captivated PCE audience as he performed magic tricks and juggling acts! This special event was sponsored by Artslink.

Our Pre-k students collaborated with 4th graders to build cars out of boxes. This activity provided an opportunity for the students to practice building and learn valuable cooperative skills. Students later pretended to drive the cars and also watched the movie "Cars" from their pretend drive-in.

Brian Rogers visited Miss Carly's Pre-k class for Lego fun! He modeled how to follow directions when building Lego structures. Each student got to take their creation home.

PCE kindergarten made flags to thank veterans in the Louis A Johnson Veterans Hospital, in Clarksburg for their service . Flags were mailed today to ensure they would be received before Veterans Day!

The students at PCE may not be quite old enough to vote for President, but they all exercised their right to vote today as they cast their ballots for the 2024-25 student council! Braelynn Carroll, Truleigh Gallagher, Leah Minger, and Anthony Veyon will all serve as council members. Based on the votes by the student body, Truleigh Gallagher will serve as President and Anthony Veyon will serve as vice President of the council this year. Congratulations to all!

Party time! Thank you to everyone who made this day special for our kids!
